Recent photography
This is the beginning of a very long, very very long, very very very long project. For this, imagine which I really like and wanted to post, is the yarn required to knit a 9 foot long Dr. Who scarf. It took this photo in 2011. I'm writing this in 2012 and the scarf is currently on 1.5 feet long. I have - a very long way to go.

Monarch
I'm not usually one to send my photographs out into the world - my photography has basically been a hobby since I graduated from Fine Arts. However, I happened to be at the Mackenzie King Estate in Gatineau Park the weekend prior to sending this photo into the CBC. The Estate features some lovely gardens, including these beautiful cone flowers (Echinacea) which this Monarch butterfly seemed to also appreciate. I chased this guy for quite a while before I was able to get this shot, but I'm very happy I did! When I got home I edited it a little bit, and then on Monday morning, when Wendy Mesley introduced the picture of the day it struck me that I should submit my butterfly. Unfortunately I missed the actual airing of the photo, I didn't even know if they would accept it let alone show it, but they did, as I soon found out from colleagues and friends who had seen it on TV a few weeks later. I'm proud of my little butterfly, even if he is a bit kitschy and corny.
Summer Days
June 2009
I took this photo ages ago walking long a path near to my last apartment in Ottawa. The sun was at just the right angle when I passed a patch of dandelion puffs to illuminate them in the most intriguing way. I was inspired to play with the light and the puffs - and finally came up with this shot - I think it would make a nice album cover...hint hint musical friends :)

Recent Portfolio
A few years ago a former colleague commissioned me to do a set of card suits for her husbands poker room. She found some ideas she liked and I combined them into what you see here. They were fun and easy to do, and certainly made her happy - though I never got the final verdict from her hubby.
The image of the tree is a painting that I did for lord knows what reason, anyway, I ended up giving it to my best friend for her birthday.
And the roman wine carafe was an image I had drawn years and years ago for a friend's father who was REALLY into wine. I never finished the piece until recently. I gave it to a friend as a "congrats" present for his success in his sommelier course. He chose to place it in the window of his office which was right on the corner of Elgin and Wellington. Everytime I passed by on the bus I would look up to see if it was still sitting there - it was kind of encouraging to see that little painting be appreciated. He moved offices last year and I have no idea if the little painting went with him or if it's still on display...I like to think so...
